Testimonials

Been using them for about a year to bring our property back up to par. Through normal headaches of getting a large property back to a standard Jim has been there every step of the way. Cannot state how great our experience has been.

Loved Andrew and his team! They went above and beyond what they were hired for, which was a landscape refresh. They were very considerate and included me in every decision. I would definitely hire them again!

In short, we had a great experience working with Western to get a backyard “reset” with invasive brush/stump removal as well as a design plan to work towards. I would recommend them to others, and have been doing so! They were lawn care magicians this fall. Please note — the messy “in progress” pics are my before pictures, not Western’s “in progress” pics! They crushed it quickly and with minimal disruption, whereas I left the yard in quite a state each day while trying to DIY it.For the full adventure… We had a wall of invasive buckthorn and honeysuckle that had grown out of control. There was also a large shrub that was lovely, but also overgrown and supposedly toxic to dogs. That’s no good, this yard is *for* my dog. Like any optimistic new homeowner, I looked at my first ever backyard with confidence that I could deal with the removal myself. Kill off the weedy trees, dig up stumps, really “own” my home, etc. I went to work and reached out to Western to learn about their landscape design services as my “light at the end of the tunnel.” The design services was wonderful, easy to schedule, and prompt! I really appreciated their willingness to do just the design project when so many groups will only do something similar if they’re also the ones implementing it. The reception and scheduling staff were also very friendly as I nervously tried to explain what I wanted and ask if that was something they allowed. The proposed design was gorgeous and fit everything we asked for — even down to verifying all the proposed plant life was safe for pets and highlighting the more budget conscious design decisions with full explanations. It’s not the “sexiest” landscaping project, but Western agreed to take on brush removal and stump grinding to help me get a clean slate. With that, we could lay groundwork for implementing that design in the future whether it was by myself, through Western, or a combination. As someone interested in a lot of DIY I was really appreciative of them helping me get off on the right foot with recommendations instead of talking down to me or pressuring for a sale of full landscaping services. I had already hacked down and treated all that buckthorn, then was overwhelmed upon realizing invasive species disposal wasn’t as simple as setting it out by the curb on brush day. Western was able to work me in for a two part job after the design — they sent a group out on the fly when there was free time in the schedule and they made that buckthorn brush disappear! It was magical, and also validating the tough job when it took them two separate loads to get all of it. No damage, not a scrap left behind. Buckthorn Alley now sat viciously regrowing and waiting for round two. I wanted to cry when Western let me know they had a cancellation and could squeeze me in earlier than expected. The crew showed up promptly, communicated well with my partner when they crossed paths, and left the area looking GREAT. I was worried about what might be left behind given the regrowth, but as the pictures show, Buckthorn Alley is no more. I’ve got that backyard reset I wanted, an exciting design plan to work towards, and a group I can trust to reach out to in the future while doing so! They’ll be coming later this year for some hardscaping work as well.I’ve included pics of the buckthorn takedown in progress so you can see the extent of the brush haul Western had in front of them! The breathtaking before/after for me is the shot along the fence line before/after stump removal. They took the other stumps too, one of which you can see in the brush pile pictures, but I unfortunately didn’t grab pictures of that spot until after I did some other work in the area that blocks the view. Bonus dog in the background, sniffing through her ever-changing yard that’s now safer for her too ❤️

Elijah did a wonderful job bringing the design to life. Updating my landscaping after the original work from 26 years ago was a big undertaking. Thanks to Elijah and his crew for a job well done.

Super awesome crew and beautiful job❤️

They do a great job on our lawn!

We are very happy with the landscaping work Western Landscape did for us! They took out plastic edging all around our house and shed and put in concrete edging and planted some additional plants for us! They made everything look beautiful! Each person I talked to that was working was very friendly. We would use them again for our landscaping needs in the future!

Western Landscape built a backyard patio for us. They put together a good design and easily updated that based on our feedback. It took a little over a month to get on the schedule since they are busy, but once the crew started they worked effectively, efficiently, and communicated clearly about any issues along the way. It was clear they paid close attention to details and ensured that everything was done well.

Western Landscape was incredibly easy to work with. We came to them with an idea, they created a plan with specific flowers and plants for the areas involved and the problems we were experiencing in our yard. The team working for us was friendly, clean, and really put in the hard work to avoid a rainstorm situation. Highly recommend working with them!

Western Landscape just finished our project yesterday and my wife and I are so happy with the final product! The entire team we worked with were knowledgeable, friendly, would answer any questions we had, and were truly a great group to work with. Even made up incredible plans and worked with us through adjustments. Luke did an excellent job in organizing the project and helping out on site. Special shout out to Tim, Joe, and Josh for all of their hard work! You guys are awesome. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for landscaping work to be done.

We are happy customers! Thank you for honoring the warranty and having integrity!Timothy and crew did an excellent job planting, watering and cleaning up!

Emily, Mika, and Cecilia were wonderful. They did a great job with the hand weeding and also trimmed a shrub that really needed some attention. They took the time to make sure it looked good and asked questions along the way so they knew exactly what I wanted. They were efficient, but also just incredibly kind and personable. Such a lovely team, and my yard looked great when they were done. I’ll definitely use them again.

Western Landscape was wonderful to work with. Their professional presentation, design plan and employees were great. And, when we wanted changes they were easy to work with. Naill was our landscape lead and he was professional, informed us every day what was happening and friendly. His coworker, Mehmet was also friendly, professional and a hard worker.

I'm really happy with my new patio and looking forward to starting my next project next year. The patio and pergola are sturdy, well-made, and provide a perfect spot for my outdoor TV for entertainment. The kids are eager to use our new smokeless fire pit to roast marshmallows. I collaborated with my landscaper to add some color and ensure privacy. They are very well respectful and hard working men. The stone hardscaping has a beautiful hue. They also created an additional space for my catio so my cats can enjoy it too! Thank you. I love how everything turned out. Location: Verona.

We really enjoyed our experience with Western. Our team lead for the project was very kind and respectful and made sure things were tidied up each day!

Great work and very professional.

Great job on our retaining wall and extension of our patio. Hard working and respectful. Elijah, Will and Michael were a great crew and did a fantastic job and were done on time! We love it!

Very positive experience. Great attention to detail. Workers were respectful to my home, yard, and each other. They showed up on time. Project was completed on time. Would recommend this business to others. Will use them in future projects.

Incredible crew and very respectful of our property and neighbors. Worked really hard and Elijah, Will and Michael made sure everything was done properly and cut no corners. They went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. They cleaned up every night after they were done for the day and left the property in great condition at the end of the day. Everything looks better than I imagined! Will not hesitate to recommend and hire again if I need anything else.

Elijah and crew did great work for us! Highly recommend for landscaping and retaining wall work.

Everything looks great, and get completed quickly.

Doing a great job this summer …inspite of the big changes in moisture and renewing grass. Thank you very much

The team did a great job cleaning up some overgrown parts of the yard, regraded the lawn well, created neat mulch beds, and did an excellent job putting everything back together at the end. I will definitely use them for future projects!

Great experience overall with strong communication, follow up, and deliverables on the project. From meeting Evan and going through the work together, to Brigid following up prior to our start date to set expectations, Luke providing updates on the timelines as they got closer, to Tim and his team doing a fantastic job - even during the rain - to complete the project and clean up within 2 days. Very professional and left a strong impression. Would recommend and refer. Thank you to the team. [Before and after pictures below.]

Western Landscape came out and really did an outstanding job! I was impressed with their attention to detail, and their professionalism! They came out to do a Spring / Summer cleanup, and they went above and beyond in their approach! We highly recommend!!

Efficient, easy to work with, do great work

Emily and her team did a great job of pruning our shrubs, removing unwanted volunteer trees and moving our rose bush. They hauled everything away and thoroughly cleaned up their work area.

Neil and crew absolutely rocked it. They transformed our sad, unused back concrete into a fantastic, welcoming space. Up front they turned an overgrown trench into a showpiece feature that immediately turned heads in our neighborhood. The craftsmanship and stonework was a wonder to behold, and the design care they took with the adjacent plantings and landscaping leveled up the whole thing. Great work all!

We bought a house in the winter. By spring, we could see the disaster of a yard we had purchased. An above-ground pool had been removed, but the pool fencing had not. Trees had been removed but stumps left. The front yard had a wrap-around garden with pavers that was overgrown. A lot of little trees and bushes and mulch that were no longer appealing. We hired Western to level out the yard, remove stumps and bushes and growth; put in new underground downspouts, stones and pavers, and grass seeding. The work is beautiful. The crew was wonderful to work with. They were on time and non-intrusive. If we had any questions, they were answered without condescension or the feeling that they were being interrupted. If changes needed to be made, we collaborated on those changes. If we asked for a change, they would pivot to accommodate. But as much as we like the work that was done, it's the comments from our neighbors and people in our community have stopped by to observe: you have a yard, you have grass, it looks great. I should mention the house is on a corner lot and the work could mot be missed. Western has made us very happy with the yard surrounding our home. We would highly recommend Western Landscaping. It is true that you get what you pay for and we're happy we went with Western.

Western landscaping was great to work with. Dave and his crew were prompt, courteous, and efficient. Would highly recommend them.

The crew did our pavers and the crew that do our weeding are great.

The crew that does our weeding and pruning is outstanding. They are extremely courteous, friendly and always check with us to see if we have any special requests or concerns. They are very efficient and leave our yard looking great!

I am very happy with the weeding and flower bed maintenance! The crew is always cheerful and ask what I need focused on.

We used them to create a new perimeter around our home. In addition, they added a beautiful new berm with natural stones for a terraced view from the street. The crew was very polite and professional. Thanks Western!

Resealed the patio well.

Everyone we worked with at Western Landscaping we enjoyed. They did a very good job and made sure we were happy with it. All very friendly, hard working and considerate.

Western was great to deal with from start to finish. Working with you through the completion of the project and never assuming. I really appreciated that part.

Western did a fantastic job from the first walkthrough to the completion of the project! After we made the deposit and were added to the schedule they were very transparent with us when the date needed to be pushed back, and gave us the reasons for the delay (mostly weather related!!) The crew doing the work were polite and did a heck of a job, including cleanup after the work was completed. Elijah was great in communicating to us the status of the job as the work was being done (all his communication was with my wife while I was at work - she appreciated that he kept her up-to-date). We would recommend Western to anyone looking to have landscaping work done!

Cameron and Kevin did a great job cutting our lawn. I love the pattern they made in the backyard!Kevin did a great job cutting our lawn yesterday!Emily and crew did a terrific job today weeding , removing the sod and trees going through our fence ! Thank you !Great job cutting our grass, trimming and cleaning off sidewalks, driveway! Also, cleaning cobwebs off the house!

This was our first lawn mowing with Western and we are very pleased with the work down. Lawn looks good and all debris removed,

We couldn't be happier with the work Western Landscaping did on our yard! From start to finish, their crew was professional, hardworking, and incredibly skilled. They did an outstanding job grading our yard, paying close attention to every detail to ensure everything was done right. One thing we really appreciated was that they stayed within the budget they quoted—no surprises, just honest and reliable service. The sod was installed beautifully, and the finished yard looks absolutely amazing. Darien even followed up on the sod and is working on getting some replacement sods! You can tell they take pride in their work, and it shows in the final result. If you're looking for a landscaping company that delivers exceptional quality, great communication, and outstanding value, I highly recommend Western Landscaping. Thanks to the entire crew for transforming our yard!

My dream of 11 years has come true with the help of Western Landscape! We had three large boulders on our front lawn since we bought the house. The Western Landscape crew picked them up and took them away. They also moved a huge pile of mulch from the front yard to the back of our property down a big hill.We had several guys help us out with this project, all of whom were fantastic. Elijah was here leading the way, supported by Robbie and Maycoll. Elijah was very friendly and considerate the whole time, confirming each aspect of the project. All three men were kind and talked to my children who were intrigued by the whole process. My boys can’t wait to be old enough to join the Western Landscape crew! This crew left our property looking better than when they arrived, and I’m so thankful!

Andy and his crew worked very hard during the project, even during the extreme heat warnings. He made sure we were all on the same page during key points in the project. The crew left the site clean and organized at the end of each day.The end result was a beautiful job and we couldn’t be more pleased. We have already gotten many positive comments from neighbors regarding how beautiful the job looks.

Excellent company to work with! Antwon and his team were great! They are hard workers especially in this heat! They worked till almost sundown and were back bright and early the next morning to finish. Highly recommend!

Dave and the masonry crew that built our patio and transformed our lawn are the best contractors we have ever worked with (which is saying quite a bit because we've had a lot of work done on our home). Not only are they very skilled and hard-working, but Dave, Tommy, and Dave (yes, he has someone with the same name on s crew) truly cared about our yard and about how we wanted things. The little finishing touches, thinking through the long-term, and adjusting the plan with our input. Even when there was a a last-minute change to the retaining wall, Dave didn't bat an eye. He made everything right and in record time, and best of all, they really seem to enjoy their jobs. It was great to interact with such a pleasant team.Thank you Dave and Western Landscape saving our yard providing us a new escape to enjoy for years to come!

Dave and crew did a great job with our patio and landscaping this spring. Probably came to address concerns and was great to work with they the process. We are so pleased with the results!

Western Landscape came to the rescue after a previous contractor botched a retaining wall in my backyard. Western was professional, detail oriented and communication was top notch. Very happy with my experience. Highly recommended!

Marcia and I are very pleased with the landscaping and the work crew on our project, the results are beautiful!!

Western did a full softscape and landscaping renovation for us in Mount Horeb and we’re really happy with how it turned out. The crew was professional and communicative throughout, and the finished yard looks great. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for this kind of work and we WILL be using them again for future projects!

Leo and Austin carried out a pool removal and fill-in in addition to general clearing and installing grass. They were both great. They worked so hard to ensure staying on schedule despite weather delays. Both were knowledgeable, polite and friendly. Everything looks great and our grass is already growing in.We will be using Western for future projects!

Luke's team came out and extended a paver border they had installed for us a few years ago. The price was reasonable, the crew was fast, and the border looks great.

Austin, Augustin and crew could not have been more fantastic. Everything turned out perfectly!

Antoine and Mehmet did a great job on our project. Antoine was friendly and a great communicator throughout their time at our home. Would definitely recommend

Western Landscape completely transformed our backyard, and the crew is the reason this review is a five. Our lead, Darien, ran the whole project and was everything you’d want - prompt, thorough, and genuinely great to communicate with. Anything we wanted or needed, we talked through together, and he made sure it was done right rather than just done fast. He even came in by himself on a Saturday to get us finished ahead of schedule, which we didn’t expect and really appreciated.Darien, Will, and Kyle did beautiful work from start to finish, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. On the rare occasion something came up during a project this size, Darien and supervisor Robb handled it with total professionalism and ownership - no excuses, no runaround, just people who step up and make things right. That’s exactly what you hope for in a contractor and honestly don’t always get. If you’re considering Western, ask for this crew. We couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. And we will be asking for them back… same crew if we’re lucky :)(Messy photos at the end are what they fixed! And possibly a bit worse in real life 😅)

Terrific service from Ethan!! Ethan and team provide great quality lawn care. Ensures the lawn is looking great before leaving the property. IE: Ethan/ Cameron exceeded my expectations by trimming weeds on our rock wall - making the back yard look beautiful!

Timothy Clemens from western came out to my place, and helped me regrade my house.

Always an awesome job and we are so happy with his work and care of our lawn.

Josh did a great job mowing my PRM apartment building. He was super friendly and even brought in our trash bins off the road. Thank you!

This Western Team is great! They take great care in keeping the weeds out of the flower beds, landscape and clean up the edging too.

Dave and Andrea were incredibly professional and helpful. I really appreciated their patience with all the questions that my wife and I had. Evan helped us with suggestions for our particular needs and circumstances. Everyone was kind helpful. We couldn't ask for better care and service.
