Project description

The request for this project was to remove the failing timber retaining walls and replace them with block retaining walls, keeping the same flagstone walkway look.

Evan Severt came up with a design to enhance the beauty of the log cabin, by building functioning retaining walls and replacing the old walkway with new flagstone.

The design having been approved, Gabriel Skalsky and his crew began the project, which would take them approximately 5 weeks to complete.

The crew started by removing the timber retaining walls and flagstone path, leaving an open canvas for the new walkway to be created.

The block was delivered and the crew installed a beautiful block retaining wall, leading from the driveway to the walkout basement door. The walkway branched out as it got closer to the house, creating a patio area in front of the door. The new flagstone walkway was added next, using the same type of stone that was previously there, just creating a fresh new look.

The area was graded and landscape lighting was installed; leaving a beautiful, well lit entrance to this stunning log cabin.

“My project was the removal of timbers and designing of a new wall and walk into the lower level of my log cabin. My project manager Evan listened and came up with an awesome design. The real shining star was Gabe and his crew. They were professional and didn’t cut corners. Gabe kept me in the loop and always asked before proceeding. While they were working on the wall and walkway I had a tree come down. Gabe offered to cut up and haul away the tree. Not many contractors would have gone the extra mile. I will be recommending Western Landscape to my friends and family. They will be the first I call for my next project. THANK YOU Gabe and crew for completing my project. I know my late husband would love what you and your crew did.”
