Set in a quiet residential neighborhood in Waunakee, Wisconsin, this modern backyard escape was designed as an inviting extension of the home — a refined outdoor space where relaxation, recreation, and connection come together seamlessly. The homeowner envisioned a clean, contemporary setting that would serve as both a private retreat and an ideal space for entertaining.

Western Landscape collaborated closely with the client to transform a standard backyard into a dynamic outdoor living environment. The design flows naturally from the house outward, balancing open movement with purposefully defined zones — each with its own unique experience, yet tied together by cohesive materials and clean architectural lines.

The final result is a backyard that feels both expansive and intimate, blending structured elements with soft edges and intentional detail throughout.
